Taps RV Park Office

Taps RV Park, Asheville, NC

Taps RV Park is located off of Interstate 40 at Exit 55 just east of Asheville, North Carolina. It is a small RV park with mostly paved, level sites. If you are visiting Asheville this is one of the closest RV parks to the city.

Taps has 49 RV sites and they vary in amenities from 50 Amp full hook-up to water and electric only. They have two showers/restrooms and a central dump station. Taps also sells LP. The campground is open year round, but tent camping is not allowed.

Location is very important to RVers and this campground has a lot going for it. It is a couple of minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and ten to fifteen minutes from the Biltmore Estate. A gas station adjoins the park and across the street there is a Family Dollar and Bojangles. Next door is a small store selling fruit and fresh vegetables.

While the park is small, we had no difficulty getting in with our 32 foot unit towing a car. The sites are more than adequate in terms of width. Our site had a picnic table on a concrete pad. There is a nice area for kids to play or to walk your dog.

Taps is family owned and the owner, Bill Rhodes, could not have been nicer. We lost one of our straps holding the car on the tow dolly. Bill was kind enough to stop by and pick up a replacement for us quite a few miles away. This certainly saved us a lot of headaches and time.

They take major credit cards. We paid $30.15 per night for four nights with a Good Sam discount. They also have weekly and monthly rates. Wi-Fi is included in the price and it has worked nicely for me. Cable television is provided with a large number of stations available.
