Schulenburg RV Park 65 North Kessler Ave. Schulenburg, TX 78956 (800) 771-9955 for reservations 979-743-4388 for information Web: schulenburgrvpark.com
If you happen to be crossing Texas on Interstate 10 and find yourself in Schulenburg then you will definitely want to spend at least one night at the Schulenburg RV Park. Located a couple of blocks off the Interstate and on Highway 77 just 99 miles east of San Antonio, it is a great place to relax. The RV Park is family owned and well maintained.
We were looking for a pull through site and a place within walking distance of eating establishments. Schulenburg RV Park provided all that and more. They have 45 pull through sites and advertise being within walking distance of nine eating establishments. We walked to two of those and can attest to the fact that several more were available. We highly recommend Frank's, an all purpose restaurant that has been in Schulenburg since 1929.
The laundry area is small, but clean. They provide a more than ample number of showers and restrooms. The sites are level and gravel. You might catch a little dust, but it's Texas. The free Wi-Fi is a big deal to many of us.
The Schulenburg RV Park is a Good Sam park and they also offer TACO discounts. It is also a bit cheaper to pay cash rather than use a charge card. We paid $31.50 for a 30 amp pull through site with TACO discount using a charge card. Monthly rates are in the $350 range.
Our purpose for stopping was to get a little relaxation after a long drive. This might also be your purpose whether traveling south on highway 77 to escape a cold winter or across Texas on I-10. Schulenburg RV Park is a winner.
